From the crusaders’ wars with Saladin, to St. George’s most delightful dragon joust, to a New York filled with knights in shining armor, here are tales of legendary valor, of sorcery-inspired quests, of star-spanning missions only truly noble heroes could survive. From kingdoms of old to realms of the fantastic, these are stories born of a tradition of chivalric adventure that stretches from the time of Arthur to an age of empires yet to come.…

There is nothing here by Asimov, so this would be a pass did it not contain the ever-delightful “Divide and Rule” by L. Sprague de Camp. There are a couple of other stories also quite nice, such as John T. Phillifent’s “The Stainless-Steel Knight” and Keith Laumer’s “Diplomat at Arms.” On the whole, then, this is a book which just barely merits reading, although the Asimov fan would probably still want to pass on it.
