Inventor Otto Schlemmelmayer and his nephew Harry Smith try to get rich quick by using a sort of temporal photocopier to replicate Button Gwinnett’s autograph.

Well, the story might have interesting insights into the problems in trying to use a time machine to make money by quietly bringing ancient artifacts forward in time to sell—but, on the whole, the story tends to remind one of "The Magnificent Possession,” and while it is infinitely better than that stinker, it still has a definite odor about it and is best left undisturbed.
